Patrick Walsh

Campaign Coordinator

While studying architecture, he heard the call to student activism and helped found Students Toward A New Democracy (STAND); a progressive activist group focused on labor issues. STAND soon after launched a successful campaign with the Service Employees International Union to help secure a union contract for the university's janitorial and landscaping staff.

After graduation, he went on to intern for SEIU Local 11 as a communications assistant, helping with labor campaigns at NOVA Southeastern University and on Fisher Island, Miami.

Patrick is also a member of the Black Mangrove Collective, a local group of young activists that hosts cultural and political events and eventually aims to open an independent coffeehouse and bookstore.
