We are the Ones We've Been Waiting For

CLUW members at the August 2008 meeting

The South Florida Coalition of Labor Union Women, a national affiliate of the AFL-CIO, has been meeting for three months.

The last meeting took place on August 14 and the group has decided to tackle the following issues over the next several months:

*Diversity (cultural and ethnic differences and similarities
*Communications (public speaking/communication styles)
*Grievances handling with Unions
*Immigration and Discrimination
*Political education (having a voice in your community)

The CLUW members also decided to have future meetings at the AFSCME 1363 hall. The address is 99NW 183 Street, Suite 224, Miami.
